What is a Construction Manager? The
CM is the qualified general contracting organization which
performs the Construction Management under a professional
services contract with the Owner. The CM will work with the
Owner and the Architect/Engineer from the beginning of design
through construction completion, and provide leadership to
the Construction Team.
Construction Management may take different forms depending
upon the requirements of the Owner, the requirements of various
administrative agencies that may be involved with the Project
and requirements of the law in the jurisdiction of the Project.
The CM will provide services during the planning and design
phases and performs managementservices during
the construction phase. Depending on the Owner’s requirements,
the trade contractors may either have subcontracts with the
CM or prime contracts directly with the Owner. There may
or may not be a guaranteed maximum price, and the CM may
or may not be permitted to perform work with his own forces.
The CM contract can be tailored to meet the specific needs
of the Owner.
Design/Build Construction is system which allows Owners to deal with one firm,
for a “one-stop shopping” situation. Our company will be responsible
for the project from inception to completion. This “Single Source Responsibility” gives
Owners a single entity responsible for quality, cost and schedule adherence.
Each situation is unique and, especially to a first time Owner, can be confusing
and overwhelming. Our company has over 50 years of experience to assist you with
every aspects of the project.

accountability for both design and construction is increasing
in frequency in the United States. A majority of European
and Japanese non-residential project are built in this highly
effective manner.
