J. Gautieri founded the first of many Gautieri companies in 1954.
General Construction was the primary focus of the organization for
the first decade. In the early 1960’s, Mr. Gautieri diversified
the organization and became involved with commercial real estate
development while continuing the traditional contracting portion
of the business.
Today the organization
offers General Contracting, Construction Management, Design/Build,
Property Management and Real Estate Brokerage services throughout
the Western New York area. They have owned and managed two Self-Storage
Facilities, which they designed and built, as well as a 131
unit HUD subsidized senior housing facility. The company has expanded into the Real Estate and Construction market in West Palm
Beach, Florida and is currently a licensed General Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Florida.
Management of the organization
is handled on a day-to-day basis by a staff of seasoned professionals
with many years of experience in construction and management. This
group, including two sons (Victor and Vito, Jr.) and one daughter
(Valerie), is overseen with the “hands-on” management
style of Vito Gautieri.
The Gautieri companies
are members of various trade organizations, of which the most notable
are the AGC (Associated General Contractors of America) and the
GBC (the General Building Contractors of New York State). Vito is
a past President of the GBC, a Life Director of the AGC and was
Chairman From 1983 – 1985 of the ACG/HUD liaison Committee.
The Gautieri companies,
as part of its Affirmative Action and EEO policies, aggressively
solicit bids from M/WBE subcontractors and suppliers, and ultimately
subcontracts to those qualified firms with the best responsive bids.
The 50+ years of experience,
dedicated staff and sound management principles have established
a top-notch track record.
